![]() ![]() I read posts on the internet on how people are having issues with this DAW or that DAW and it baffles me. I did have latency issues with Protools in the 90s until I switched to Samplitude. ![]() I recorded many records with Cubase VST and Simplitude back in the 90s with no problems. I have recorded many records with Cubase 4.5 and it always delivers. I don't understand why people get so caught up in these newer DAWS. That is the fastest version of Cubase IMO. Not that Cubase 9x and beyond are all that much better. One of Reaper's biggest selling points to most users is efficiency.I still work faster in Cubase (and PT) than Reaper, but I'm really new to Reaper.only a few months.but this program does things that nothing else does so I'm gonna stick it out.The reaper interface is horrible IMO. Lots of complaints about how much CPU Cubase uses, zero (that I have seen) with Reaper. Reaper flies by Cubase on Mac, not only in sheer speed but in features. However that was when Macs used MOS chips and they had their own OS. #CUBASE FOR MAC MAC#I did start on Cubase on Mac when it first came out and it ran great. But to be fair I have never used reaper on a Mac, only on Windows. ![]() In my experience Core audio has lots of issues. Not to mention Cubase was one of the music first applications to run on a Mac so it has a track record. I can't image it being the opposite on OSX. Cubase is much faster than reaper on Windows. ![]()
